Mumbai Meri Jaan!
Tuesday, February 10, 2009
A design sporting words from the good old Mohammed Rafi song, Bombay Meri Jaan! (Has Mumbai instead of Bombay). The chaps who love the city will love wearing this design!
The truth is we were touched by the spirit of the city too. The solidarity it showed when it was being ripped made us go.. Woo.. Interesting this city!
Though we are not directly linked to the city, one of us has the credit of having played Ultimate Frisbee for the Mumbai Storm Chasers team.
They had to travel a few hundred miles just after 26/11 attacks and nothing could stop them from playing their first ultimate tournament. Mumbai Storm Chasers – Your spirit was awesome! Dedicating this design to you chaps!
So...All you Mumbaikars out there! Say it loud and clear... “Mumbai Meri Jaan!”

Myntra Vs Dilsebol
Finally, there are some reasonably good customisable t-shirt selling websites in India.
Myntra has been around for a while and it looks like they are doing pretty well. They have a page rank of 4.
The other big player is Dilsebol. Dilsebol, after building a substantial designer base, they decided to revamp their site – which was much needed – and they deleted all existing designer accounts and designer galleries. The upgraded site looks much neater, a lot of glitches have been fixed, but still has a long way to go in comparison with sites like zazzle and t-shirt monster.

With Myntra, it was a constant struggle. So far we have faced 10 n number of technical glitches, have had several calls with customer service and still we are unable to upload the mystic butterfly design for some strange reasons. But one plus about Myntra is their customer service. There are a lot of people to re-assure you when things go wrong. The design interface is pretty neat and white t-shirts look like white t-shirts (dilsebol’s white t-shirt templates look grey) Myntra is quite accomplished and quite big. They have bagged merchandise of biggies like cricinfo and jumbo (the movie). Partnering with them is going to be pretty good, if only our gallery is up and running.
So, the news is that we are almost done with setting up galleries with these two vendors and once it is done, India can buy our t-shirt designs! :-)
